Balthazar waits patiently while the kitten inspects him. He doesn't want to scare him, whether he's a little version of his lover or not. He laughs and ducks just a bit at the feel of the paws on his back. "You're safe here, you know," he says, "with me. But you probably shouldn't leave this room alone."
